Now, admittedly, I’m not a teen. But look at them. Just LOOK at them.
Here’s Lea:
Spy Style: Angelina Jolie

Very pretty, Angie. Armani, her old standard, and it suits her. Love that it shows off her legs and arms and love even more that she lets her hair fly free. She’s carrying herself like a movie star.
Pretty. Sparkly. Kinda boring. Diane’s black sequins were more memorable.
Best Dressed: Lea Michele (Tony Awards V)
Posted: June 14, 2010 Filed under: Red Carpet Fashion | Tags: dressed like diane, lea michele, tony awards Leave a comment »I have to admit I didn’t want to choose her. She’s been over-exposed this year and I don’t even really like Rachel. Plus, why was Glee performing at the Tony’s? Aren’t they on TV?

Plus plus, my Diane got SO MUCH flack for wearing long, airy, yellow FOUR YEARS after Michelle Williams did and now Lea is the THIRD woman to do it less than SIX MONTHS since Diane’s appearance at the SAG Awards.
But. Lea looks amazing.
Best Dressed: Jessica Biel (MTV Movie Awards VIII)
Posted: June 8, 2010 Filed under: Red Carpet Fashion | Tags: dressed like diane, jessica biel Leave a comment »I may have to revise my opinion of Jessica Biel. I’ve always found her boring, but this:

I LOVE this. It’s absolutely adorable yet high on fashion. She looks amazing! Everything from hair to heels is just right.
Colour Makes It Pop! (Met Gala VI)

This is a beautiful dress. It is a little reminiscent of Diane Kruger’s SAG dress which was in turn oft compared to Michelle William’s Oscar dress but that’s not really a bad thing.
This is kind of a bad thing:
Superheroine of the Night: Skrull, I mean, Katy Perry
Posted: March 29, 2010 Filed under: Red Carpet Fashion | Tags: dressed like diane, katy perry, rihanna, selena gomez 3 Comments »Saturday night was the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Show — my husband likes to call it the Oscars (with Slime) but it is much closer to the Golden Globes (with Slime). But like the Oscars, or the Globes, the stars come out with bells on, so here are the super fashion highlights (with Slime)!
Before we get the real supers, I want to give a shout out to one of my favourite young stars, and winner of the Kids Choice Award for Best Actress on TV, Selena Gomez.

The Wonder Twins versus Ursa Major! Vancouver Olympic Opening Ceremonies
Posted: February 13, 2010 Filed under: Event Fashion, Sports Fashion | Tags: bryan adams, dressed like diane, nelly furtado, olympics, people dressed as objects, winter fashion 2 Comments »I love the Olympics. I’d watch a skeeball competition if it was an Olympic event. But beyond the excitement of the sports and the idealistic concept of it being an event that bypasses all the horrors of sharing our world, there is the pageantry. And there is no better showcase for it (nope, not even Ice Dancing) than the Opening Ceremonies.
Of course, being me, while I enjoy the cultural dramatics and the parade of host-country celebrities in concert, I pay the most attention to what people are wearing. The Olympic Opening Ceremony I remember with the most fondness is Albertville, France 1992. And it is only and all because of this:

I’ve been to France, it’s beautiful. And arguably the epicenter of the fashion world. So why expect anything less than beautiful women dressed as snowglobes escorting the athletes into the Olympic Stadium?

Flashback Friday: Bryce Dallas Howard

THE new vampire in Twilight’s Eclipse, Bryce Dallas Howard:
Bryce took over the role of Victoria for the Twilight Saga’s third film and I am honestly interested in seeing if she is noticeably superior. She is certainly a bigger name (I, uh, don’t actually know who was the first Victoria) (Edited to add: Rachelle Lefevre; thank you Mizzelle) and it’s not like I don’t like Bryce or don’t think she’s talented… It’s not HER fault all the movies she’s been in have been PAINFULLY AWFUL. Right?
