I don’t want to start any wild rumors (actually, I totally want to start wild rumors! The kind that can’t be ignored) but Emily Blunt, who at one point was going to be Natasha Romanova (Black Widow) in Iron Man 2, and has been my fancast pick for Jessica Drew (Spider-woman) FOREVER wore this to the LACMA Art + Film Gala held in Los Angeles Saturday evening:

No, it’s nothing like a red and yellow web winged jumpsuit.
But it’s totally an LBD spider-web. I APPROVE.

Hit! (Emmys)

With a few exceptions (like January) the dresses didn’t garner much discussion, but here are my top HITS:

Tina Fey in Oscar de La Renta. This look = WOW. Tina is beautiful but her red carpet style tends to be awful (she wore a jumpsuit to the Oscars!!) and this is a complete turnaround. The fit is stunning and she looks amazing. I even like the ponytail. Gives it that little bit of irreverence, a Tina Fey trademark.

Malaika Arora dressed AS a bird (for a good cause). But this:

It’s not just the eye-popping, very heroine chic colour (no red carpet at this gala, by the way, so I’ve no qualms loving this red). No, look here:
