Heroine Chic attacks the fashion world! (CFDA III)Posted: June 9, 2010
Kate walked off with Superheroine of the Night, but she had tough competition in the form of previous Superheroine of the Night, True aka Dree Hemingway:
Or at least her last-seen-on-Supergirl headband.
And here she is posing with Lex Luthor (designer Italo Zucchelli). Frankly, her Kara impression is so good I’ll forgive her the white leisure suit. It does look passably Kryptonian.
Then there’s Joan Smalls. This is heroine chic from the earrings to the metallic mini to the bracelets that make her arm look robotic. And the color scheme is too Green Lantern Corps to pass up.
Constance Jablonski’s silver is pure retro-future-fashion and I love it.
For villains, we have Tamara Mellon:
Here is a better glimpse of the dress, but the dark shot above is far more villainous (and, frankly, nicer to the look).
And Fabriola Beracasa:
When I come across something like this I am usually disappointed to find it ends in a long skirt that would look out of place on the majority of superheroines (or villains). So close and yet not, that kind of disappointment.
