Have you encountered Ever After High? It’s another line of dolls with webisodes and eventual DVD release tie-ins a la Monster High but instead of the children of famous monsters, they’re the children of famous fairy tale characters. Not to be confused with Descendants, the upcoming series and inevitable tie-in dolls about the high school age children of famous Disney villains. Anyway, in Ever After High the kids are divided into two cliques: Royals (the children of princesses like Snow White) and Rebels (the children of people who are not princesses like the Evil Queen, Red Riding Hood, and the Mad Hatter).
This year’s Academy Awards was full of royals and the ruler of them all was newly crowned Best Supporting Actress Lupita Nyong’o:

The Spike TV Guys Choice Awards were held Saturday night proving that there are about 300 billion too many awards shows. Thank goodness! The awards include such categories as “Holy Grail of Hot” and while I won’t spoil the winners for anyone waiting for the awards to air — on Spike, obviously — June 20th, here’s my pick for superheroine of the night:
Bouncing back from her disastrous appearance at the Oscars, Charlize showed off her killer instinct, or at least her killer legs, in this tight black mini by Versace.
Okay, she is not my pick for Best Dressed (!) but she is my pick for Most Superheroine-y. And it’s not just because she has all sorts of experience with the whole secret identity thing (it helps) but look:
She looks like a bruiser in a ballgown. She looks like she is hulking up! Look!
